Nonduduzo

Shepherd's Care
Sipete, eSwatini

DOB: November 10, 2008

High School Student

Nonduduzo is one of our newest girls at Shepherd’s Care. She went to a clinic for HIV testing, where she gave a detailed description of awful things a man had done to her. But upon further questioning, she admitted that her father forced her to tell that story to cover for him: he's been abusing her since she was in 3rd grade. He was arrested, but he’s currently out of jail.

This dear child has a terrible self-image, imagining that everyone around her views her as damaged. She feels responsible for breaking up her family. She’s concerned that her siblings won’t have anyone to provide for them if he goes to prison. But she’s not thinking about the strong possibility that other siblings could also be abused if he’s around.

What a gracious God we serve! He got her to Shepherd’s Care Home Sept. 11th, where she’s shown great love and compassion! Nonduduzo is in Form 2 (like our freshman year).
