We were blessed to welcome Sihle to the Shepherd's Care Home in April. She’d been staying with an aunt since her mother’s death a year ago. Understandably, she shed many tears, leaving her younger sister and brother behind, going to a place where she didn’t know anyone, getting into the car of strangers—but she quickly realized that her new home was a safe place where she would be loved. Her housemother, Mbali, held her closely, wiping the tears and comforting her with words of assurance. The other children quickly made her part of the family, tossing a ball, playing cards, doing puzzles, and showing her around. Before the day was over, she was already all smiles, and by Sunday, you’d have thought she’d always been part of the Shepherd's Care family!
She’s in 4th grade and very happy that her little sister Nobuhle was able to join the Shepherd's Care family, too! We can’t wait to see what the Lord does in the hearts and lives of these precious sisters!
